Loukya Entertainments, the prestigious banner behind critically acclaimed films like Colour Photo and Bedurulanka 2012, is back with a powerful rural drama titled Dhandoraa. Directed by Muralikanth and produced by Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni, the film explores harsh social realities set against a rural Telangana backdrop. Currently being shot in Dharipally village, the second schedule features versatile actor Shivaji and actress Bindu Madhavi, who plays a deeply layered and emotionally resonant character named Sreelatha. A departure from cinematic clichés, Bindu portrays a prostitute and single mother, but without the usual stereotypes—her role is rich in emotion, introspection, and grace, with no intimate scenes, making it one of the most nuanced performances of her career.
Dhandoraa boasts a strong ensemble cast including Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala, Mounica Reddy, and Raadhya. The recently released “First Beat” teaser has already struck a chord with audiences. With a focus on caste discrimination and deep-rooted societal issues, the film promises to be a thought-provoking watch. Music is by Mark K Robin, cinematography by Venkat R. Sakhamuri, editing by Srujana Adusumilli, and art direction by Kranthi Priyam. With powerful themes, impactful performances, and stellar technical backing, Dhandoraa is shaping up to be a socially conscious cinematic experience with strong emotional depth.
