Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has exhorted the Congress high command that the formation of Telangana will only help BJP, TDP and YSRC.
Reddy, who submitted his report on the issue briefed Sonia Gandhi and also PM during his two day visit to Delhi that the Congress would badly lose out to the BJP in case Telengana was formed.
Quoting intelligence and social analysts he says that there will be a huge polarisation of Hindu votes if Telangana is formed. The BJP in Telangana has proven that it is capable of winning seats thanks to the polarisation of Hindu votes.
Reddy told the high command that the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party only has Muslim vote bank in the 25 out of 119 constituencies in Telangana. The hate speech given by MIM leader Akbar Owaisi has further united Hindus against MIM and Cong and look to bring the BJP on top.
The 10 districts in Telangana were once controlled by the Nizam and each of them have a heavy Muslim presence. But also equally united hindu votes polarisation as an impact of pre-independence Nizams brutality.’ Due to Congress tie up with MIM, we are only seen as a face of Nizam only in Telangana ‘ Reddy told Delhi quoting intelligence reports.
The BJP on the other hand has been setting up bases and looking to polarise the Hindu votes in the region. It has its cadres in all parts of the region, and has a huge influence in most of the universities in the region, including the OsmaniaUniversity.
