The Central Government on Thursday granted permission for prosecution of IAS officer Srilakshmi. She was named as sixth accused in the OMC mines case. The Centre nod for her prosecution u/s IP ) and Procedure Code (PC) of services was endorsed by the Union Cabinet which met in Delhi.
Srilakshmi who played a key role in grant of OMC mine lease to mining mafia don Gali Janardhan Reddy was in Chanchalaguda jail for over an year and was bailed on health grounds three months ago. The CBI has named her as sixth accused in the OMC case for her crime of issuing GO by dropping the clause of ‘ captive mines ‘ to facilitate Gali to export the iron ore for huge profits .
Two other IAS hauled up in Jagan’s DA case were B P Acharya and Brahmananda Reddy , while Acharya is bailed out on health grounds , Brahmananda Reddy is still inside The cases hoisted by CBI on corrupt practices of the YSR regime have left large number of IAS and congress MLAs and ministers locked up in court cases .
